A practical guide

Your Mac, on your iPad.

Farwink lets an iPad view and control an existing Mac session. Your Mac runs its apps; the iPad displays the screen and sends keyboard and pointer input.

What you need

An Apple silicon Mac with macOS 14+, an iPad with iPadOS 17+, an awake and logged-in Mac, and a working network connection. A hardware keyboard or trackpad is optional.

Set it up

  1. Install Farwink on the Mac and complete its permission guide.
  2. Open Farwink on the iPad. Start on the same Wi‑Fi and select the Mac.
  3. Enter the Mac’s connection password, then try input, sound, and file transfers.
  4. For access away from home, enable Private Connection and sign into the same Tailscale account on both devices.
  5. Try the iPad on another network before purchasing.

Farwink does not turn iPadOS into macOS, unlock a locked Mac, or keep a powered-off computer available.
